Guess who’s home early…

Yes, the doctor released me 4 days early from the hospital, and I am now recovering at home. I am able to get up and about for little periods of time; I have to take care not to overexert myself into a blackout or by injuring my healing wounds.

The doctor was very upbeat and positive on all aspects of healing and mentioned two weeks before I am able to sit again. I’ll remain more conservative and say three to four weeks from today. Only time will tell.

A few more weeks of healing and Dr. Cooper may have a new biggest fan….

Live from.. the hospital!

I am in the hospital recovering from my recent z-plasty surgery. So far, things are good. I figured I’d drop a line for people checking in via the web. I’ve got wireless broadband internet thanks to an unknown doctor’s office in an adjacent building. I cant complain, it sure beats the 2x56k verizon wireless card I planned on using.

Talk to you later,

Unexpected Guest

After watching the Carolina Panthers lose to the Seattle Seahawks by a landslide, I got up to head for the restroom. Imagine my suprise when I realized we had a newly deceased guest in our house…

Italian Herb Bread

I’ve become addicted to baking bread in the Breadman TR-4000 bread machine. My favorite recipe thusfar is the Italian Herb Bread. This is a quick 1.5lb recipe:

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2.5 tsp salt
  • 2-3 tsp dried italian herbs
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 cubs water
  • 2 tsp active yeast

I just put some in the machine and the aroma is filling the house…. Mmmmmmmmm.

Our First Visit to Maui

With two greats friends in town, believer and I decided to hop over to Maui for six wonderful days exploring another isle. Maui reminded us lots of Ireland and allowed for us to relax some. We were able to take the Road to Hana drive, view the sunrise at Haleakala Crater, and overall experience a completely different side of Hawaii.
